I had prolotherapy on my back and hip, after suffering with too much pain doing the things that I like to do, such as horseback riding, cycling and skiing. After 2 treatments I've been able to return to these activities and more, and have had very little discomfort in my back or hip.
Dr. Chris has been my Primary Care Physician for the last eight years. During that time he has helped me through not only the normal aches, pains, colds, flu, etc. that most of us go through, but also diagnosed a sudden tear in my mitral valve. He then helped me find the best team of Cardiac Surgeons performing robotic valve repair in the country. Dr. Chris followed my surgery and recovery closely, making sure that I understood everything that was happening. He is a dedicated and truly caring Doctor who gives of himself fully to every patient.
I've selected Dr. Chris A. Christensen for a doctor as he's highly skilled as a general practitioner, as well as a pain control specialist. He's very thorough, efficient and works diligently with me to help find solutions for my varied medical needs. I've appreciated his good listening skills and his sense of humor.
His services are very reasonably priced. When it is really necessary for one to seek additional medical advice or treatment he makes referrals to other excellent medical personnel within the Northwest.
He maintains a pleasant clinic, which is well staffed with friendly, caring and helpful personnel.
Three years ago I had knees that were so painful that I required a cane much of the time to get around and at times even crutches. Dr. Christensen sent me for MRIs on both knees. The results were studied not only by him, but also three Orthopedic Surgeons, and they all suggested artificial titanium knee replacements. The lone exception was Dr. Christensen himself, saying he would prefer an attempt at a more conservative approach. The result was first using Prolotherapy which was met with modest success, but when I was still unable to do my usual chores of yard work and landscaping he suggested PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma). After these treatments, I can now do virtual anything I want to do, which includes walking up and down hills, using the stairway in my home both up and down, etc. Three years later now and my knees seem to be getting better all the time, which means I don't tend to unconsciously "guard them" against any excessive stress, motion or load.
